This blue, shielded flexible cable OZ-BL-CY with a cross-section of 20x0.75 mm² is designed for use in potentially explosive environments. It is an ideal solution for control and measurement installations in areas where high interference resistance and safety are required. This cable is used in intrinsically safe installations where reliability and minimizing risk are key.

Construction and properties ensuring safety

The cable is characterized by a multi-wire, flexible construction of copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295 / IEC 60228), which ensures high flexibility and easy installation even in difficult conditions. PVC insulation (type Z 7225) and a copper braid screen protect against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in precise control and measurement systems. Additionally, the outer PVC coating (type TM2) provides resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation.

Technical parameters and scope of applications

The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible). Its rated voltage is 500V, and the approximate outer diameter is 13.9 mm. The minimum bending radius is 5x cable diameter for fixed laying and 10x cable diameter during flexible operation. This cable is ideal for internal and external installations (except for direct laying in the ground). It does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting.

Remember to optimize EMC by ensuring a bilateral and extensive contact of the copper braid with the terminals – e.g. using appropriate cable glands. The product has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
