Flexible control cable UNIPUR – reliability in all conditions
The UNIPUR 4G0.5 cable is a flexible solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. This cable, made with stranded copper wire, is characterized by exceptional flexibility even at low temperatures, making it an ideal choice for working in harsh conditions. The thermoplastic polyurethane (PUR) insulation provides long-lasting protection against abrasion, cuts, oils, greases, and weathering.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for demanding applications. It consists of four 0.5 mm² conductors that are twisted in parallel for optimal twist pitch. The conductors are surrounded by TPE insulation, and the whole is protected by an outer PUR TMPU coating. This construction guarantees not only high flexibility but also resistance to UV radiation and hydrolysis. In addition, the materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
This cable stands out with a wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +90°C – allowing it to be used in both cold and hot environments. The rated voltage is 500V (300/500 kV), and the test voltage is 3000V. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for flexible bending and 5x for stationary bending.
