Flexible control cable UNIPUR – reliability in harsh conditions
The UNIPUR 7G0,5 cable is a flexible solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. This cable, made with stranded copper core, is characterized by exceptional flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. The polyurethane (PUR) insulation provides resistance to abrasion, cuts, oils, water and weathering.
Construction and properties
The UNIPUR cable is designed for demanding applications. It consists of seven cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², which are twisted in parallel for optimal flexibility. These cores are insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and the whole is surrounded by a durable PUR coating. This ensures that the cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C – which is particularly important in harsh industrial and outdoor conditions. Additionally, the cable is resistant to UV radiation and hydrolysis, guaranteeing long-term reliability.
Applications and benefits
The UNIPUR 7G0,5 cable finds application in many fields, including:
- Electric tools: drills, circular saws, garden tools.
- Portable and agricultural machinery: electric motors, pumps.
- Construction: powering devices on construction sites.
- Refrigeration installations: electrical connections in cooling systems.
- Hobby and DIY: everywhere where cable flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required.
Choosing the UNIPUR 7G0,5 cable gives you:
- Exceptional flexibility: facilitates installation and connection even in tight spaces.
- High mechanical resistance: protects against damage caused by abrasion, cuts and impacts.
- Chemical resistance: ensures reliable operation in contact with oils, water and other chemicals.
- Wide temperature range: enables the use of the cable in difficult climatic conditions.
- Long-term reliability: thanks to high-quality materials and careful workmanship, the cable will last for many years.
- Safety: compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Additional information: Cable available in grey and other colors on request (RAL codes). It has a yellow-green protective conductor (G). The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5x cable diameter during stationary operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9 mm. The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 kV up to a cross-section of 1 mm² and 750/450 V from a cross-section of 1.5 mm².
