UNIPUR-CP Flexible Cable – Reliability and Flexibility in Every Application

This shielded UNIPUR-CP control cable combines high-quality materials and advanced construction, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh conditions. The cable is designed for demanding applications where flexibility, resistance to external factors, and safety are paramount. It is ideally suited for construction, industry, and hobby applications.

Construction and Properties

The UNIPUR-CP cable features a robust construction that guarantees long-term operation. It is made of stranded copper wire twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228 cl.5, insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The cores are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch and protected with foil and a screen of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage). The outer jacket is made of PUR TMPU compliant with DIN EN 50363-10-2, providing resistance to abrasion, cuts and notches. The cable is available in yellow and has 12 cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm².

It is worth noting the exceptional flexibility of the cable even at low temperatures (down to -40°C), which facilitates installation and use in difficult weather conditions. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substances. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation – making it an ideal solution for outdoor and industrial applications.

Applications and Compliance with Standards

The UNIPUR-CP cable is widely used in power tools (drills, circular saws), garden tools, portable motors, agricultural machinery and refrigeration installations. It will also be useful on construction sites and in docks. Thanks to the shielding, it ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – for optimization, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the copper braid with the clamps. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21. The rated voltage of the cable is 500V (300/500V up to 1mm²).
