UNIPUR-CP Flexible Cable – Strength and Flexibility in Harsh Conditions

This shielded UNIPUR-CP control cable is the ideal solution for applications requiring high mechanical strength and flexibility, even at low temperatures. Compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 standards, it is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +90°C. Its construction ensures reliable operation in demanding industrial and domestic environments.

Construction and Properties

The UNIPUR-CP cable stands out with its careful construction, which guarantees its durability and reliability. Made of stranded copper wire according to DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, it has insulation made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), providing excellent dielectric properties. The cores are identified by colors (up to 5 cores) or black color with white numbering (from 6 cores), which facilitates identification during installation. A screen made of tinned copper wires protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), and the outer jacket made of PUR TMPU provides resistance to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is resistant to abrasion, cuts and notches.

Thanks to its properties, it is also perfect for docks and hobby applications. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).

To optimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands). Different jacket colors are available on request – from RAL 5015 (blue) to RAL 7001/7032 (grey) and others. Cables are available in metered lengths for ease of use and waste minimization.
