Flexible cable UNIPUR-CP – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded control cable UNIPUR-CP is a proposal for professionals and demanding users. The use of a special combination of materials – thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for wire insulation and polyurethane (PUR) for the outer jacket – guarantees exceptional flexibility, abrasion resistance and resistance to external factors. The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +90°C, making it an ideal solution for use in harsh industrial and construction environments.

The UNIPUR-CP cable is distinguished by its construction ensuring high reliability and safety. A screen made of copper wires minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in applications sensitive to interference. The use of multi-wire copper conductors of flexibility class 5 ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation.

Construction and properties

The UNIPUR-CP cable is characterized by a careful construction:

• Conductors: copper, un-tinned, stranded wire class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228). This ensures high conductivity and flexibility.
• Insulation: made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), guaranteeing excellent dielectric properties and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Wire identification: colored up to 5 wires, black with white numbering from 6 wires facilitates the identification of individual conductors during installation.
• Screen: made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) effectively reduces electromagnetic interference.
• Outer jacket: made of polyurethane (PUR TMPU) provides high resistance to abrasion, cuts, notches and chemical and atmospheric influences.
• Available jacket colors: a wide range of colors available on request allows for easy identification of cables in the installation.

The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. It is metered for convenient dispensing during assembly.
