Construction and properties
The cable has 18 copper strands, twisted according to class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), which ensures its high flexibility. The core insulation is made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and the outer jacket of polyurethane (PUR), providing resistance to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation. The copper wire screen minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in applications sensitive to interference. This makes this cable perfect for use in industrial and workshop environments.
Additionally, the cable remains flexible even at low temperatures – down to -40°C – making it an ideal choice for outdoor applications in difficult weather conditions. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free. The rated voltage of the cable is 500 kV (300/500 V for cross-section up to 1 mm² and 450/750 V for cross-section from 1.5 mm²). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 15.7 mm.
