Flexible control cable UNIPUR-CP – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded UNIPUR-CP control cable combines flexibility, durability and resistance to external factors. Designed for applications requiring high reliability, it can be used in both industrial installations and portable devices. The cable features a wide operating temperature range, from -40°C to +90°C, making it an ideal solution for working in extreme conditions. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation.
Construction and properties
The UNIPUR-CP cable has 25 copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards (class 5 – flexible stranded). Each strand is insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), providing flexibility and abrasion resistance. The strands are twisted in parallel for optimal pitch, and the whole is wrapped in foil for additional protection. A screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation. Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties even in an aggressive environment.
Applications and benefits
The UNIPUR-CP cable is perfect for powering electric tools (drills, circular saws), garden equipment, portable motors and agricultural machinery. It is ideal for use on construction sites, in hobby workshops, docks and in refrigeration installations. Its exceptional flexibility at low temperatures (-40°C) allows operation in difficult winter conditions. In addition, the materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free. Color identification of strands (up to 5 strands) or black with white numbering (from 6 strands) is available to facilitate installation and servicing. A green-yellow protective conductor is available from 3 strands upwards.
