This shielded UNIPUR-CP control cable is an ideal solution for demanding applications where flexibility, resistance to external factors and safety are important. The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +90°C, making it indispensable on construction sites, in industry, as well as in hobby and agricultural applications. The cable construction provides high resistance to oils, greases, water, changing weather conditions and UV radiation.
Construction and properties
The UNIPUR-CP cable stands out with its advanced construction, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper strands are twisted in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards, which ensures their appropriate flexibility and mechanical strength. Insulation made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) provides excellent dielectric properties and abrasion resistance. A screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in devices sensitive to interference. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) protects the cable against mechanical damage and the influence of chemicals.
The cable is available in blue color and has two cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². The rated voltage is 500 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 6.8 mm. Thanks to its construction, the cable is exceptionally flexible even at low temperatures and resistant to cuts and notches. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
Applications and compliance with standards
The UNIPUR-CP cable finds wide application in power tools (drills, circular saws), portable motors, agricultural machinery and refrigeration installations. It will also be useful on construction sites and in hobby applications. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 and DIN EN 50525-2-21 standards and has a CE marking confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. To optimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure two-sided contact of the copper braid with cable glands (e.g. cable glands).
