Construction and properties

The UNIPUR-CP 34G0,5 cable features a solid construction. It has 34 copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards. Each strand is insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), providing excellent dielectric and mechanical strength. The strands are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch and then wrapped with foil for additional protection. A key element is the screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage), which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) compliant with DIN EN 50363-10-2.

The cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C – making it ideal for use in harsh environmental conditions. It is resistant to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation. Additionally, it exhibits resistance to hydrolysis and the action of microorganisms, as well as abrasion and cuts. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free.
