UNIPUR-CP Flexible Cable – Reliability and Flexibility in Every Application
The UNIPUR-CP cable is a high-quality, shielded control cable designed to operate in demanding conditions. It is characterized by exceptional flexibility even at low temperatures, making it an ideal solution for mobile applications and those exposed to dynamic mechanical loads. The construction using thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and polyurethane (PUR) ensures resistance to oils, greases, water, climate change and UV radiation.
Construction and Properties
The cable is constructed of stranded copper conductors, insulated with TPE, color-identified according to DIN VDE 0293-308. The strands are twisted in parallel, and the whole is wrapped in foil for additional protection. A screen of copper wires provides reduction of electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in applications sensitive to interference. The outer jacket made of PUR TMPU guarantees high mechanical and chemical resistance.
The cable has stranded copper conductors class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295 / BS 6360 / IEC 60228), insulation made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and a screen of copper wires with a coverage of approximately 85%. The outer jacket is made of polyurethane (PUR), and available jacket colors include RAL 5015 – blue and RAL 6018 – green. The nominal conductor cross-section is 0.5 mm², the nominal voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V, and the operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +90°C.
Applications and Benefits
The UNIPUR-CP cable finds wide application in various industries, including power tools (drills, circular saws), gardening equipment, portable motors, agricultural machinery, and construction and refrigeration installations. Its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors make it the ideal choice for applications requiring reliability and durability. Additionally, the cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
