Flexible cable for dynamic applications
This grey flexible cable m.FLEX 512-PUR 50G1, with an outer diameter of 24 mm, is designed for operation in demanding conditions where frequent bending and movement occur. Made of halogen-free polyurethane (PUR), it provides safety and reliability in mechanical engineering, robotics, and moving machine parts. This cable is characterized by exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of 50 multi-strand copper conductors (class 6), insulated with modified PP. The conductors are twisted in parallel and have a special protective braid (up to 4 mm² cross-section). The whole is surrounded by an abrasion and adhesion-resistant outer jacket made of polyurethane (TMPU). The grey color (RAL 7001) ensures good visibility. The protective conductor is yellow-green and located on the outside (from 3 conductors).
The materials used guarantee high resistance to:

ozone,
solvents, acids and alkalis,
hydraulic fluids.
Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant and characterized by low adhesion, which translates to a longer service life in harsh operating conditions. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free.
Operating parameters and compliance with standards
This cable is designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C during dynamic installation and operation. The rated voltage is 500 V. The nominal cross-section of a single conductor is 1 mm². The minimum bending radius is 5x cable diameter during dynamic operation and 3x cable diameter for fixed installation. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The bending test showed a resistance to approx. 10 million bending cycles using the H method.
