Flexible cable for demanding applications

This multi-core flexible cable, designated m.SPEED 500-TPE 18G0,5, is designed for use in dynamic industrial environments. This cable is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to mechanical stress, abrasion and external factors, making it an ideal choice for installation in machines, robots and production lines. Its construction allows for long-term use in cable carriers, even at high speeds.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed with 18 tinned copper cores twisted in a way that minimizes the risk of twisting during operation. Each core is insulated with special PP, and the cable has an outer jacket made of durable TPE-O (thermoplastic olefin elastomer) in blue (RAL 5020). The TPE-O material used provides high resistance to oils, chemicals, UV radiation and ozone. Additionally, the cable is metered for easy installation and precise adaptation to installation needs. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.8 mm.

The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage U is 500V.
