Flexible cable for demanding applications

This metered flexible cable 500V m.SPEED 500-TPE 2x0.5 with TPE-O jacket is a solution for installations exposed to intense movements and difficult working conditions. Designed for reliability in dynamic industrial environments, it will work both in installations inside buildings and outdoors.

Construction and properties

The cable stands out with its advanced construction, ensuring exceptional flexibility and durability. Tinned copper strands twisted to minimize the risk of damage are insulated with special PP. The outer jacket made of fatigue-resistant TPE-O material (sea blue RAL 5020) guarantees high resistance to abrasion, tearing, chemical agents and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in case of fire. The selected tinned strand allows installation in an extreme environment where hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide are present.

The cable is also characterized by high resistance to:

• microbes – thanks to the use of TPE
• changing bending force
• mechanical impact and low temperatures
• oils and chemicals
• UV and ozone radiation

Applications and operating parameters

The m.SPEED 500-TPE cable is ideal for use in machines and equipment exposed to high mechanical stress, such as:

• industrial robotics
• production lines
• industrial automation
• cable trays (observing the manufacturer's instructions)
• moving parts of machines

The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range:

• flexible: from -30°C to +80°C
• stationary: from -40°C to +80°C

The operating voltage is 300/500V, and the test voltage is 3000V. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 5x the cable diameter, and for fixed installation – 3x the cable diameter. The insulation resistance is at least 100 MOhm x km.
