Flexible control cable for industrial applications
This high-quality flexible cable, with a rated voltage of 500V, is designed to operate in demanding industrial conditions. The m.SPEED 500-TPE 36G0,75 cable is distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress, making it an ideal solution for use in machines and equipment with moving parts. The cable's construction allows it to be used in cable conduits over long distances and at high speeds.
Construction and properties
The cable consists of 36 copper cores, each with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², insulated with special PP. The cores are twisted into bundles, which ensures flexibility and resistance to damage. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer sheath made of TPE-O (thermoplastic olefin elastomer) in blue, which provides resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The TPE technology used minimizes adhesion and ensures the halogen-free nature of the material. Additionally, the cable is metered for easy installation and precise adaptation to installation needs.
This cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). It complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter during flexible operation and 3x the cable diameter for fixed installation. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 19.6 mm.
Applications
The m.SPEED 500-TPE cable is particularly recommended for:
- Installations in machines and equipment with moving parts (robotics, production lines).
- Applications in cable conduits over long distances.
- Automation and control industry.
- Environments exposed to oils, chemicals and UV radiation.
- Internal and external installations in wet and dry rooms.
- Applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress – especially where frequent bending of the cable occurs without the risk of damage to the insulation or breakage of the conductor.
- Tinned cable (TPE) allows installation in an extreme environment where hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide interact.
