Flexible cable for demanding applications

This multi-range flexible cable, designated m.SPEED 500-TPE 4G1.5, is designed for installations exposed to intense mechanical loads and harsh environmental conditions. The cable is distinguished by its high flexibility and abrasion resistance, making it an ideal solution for use in machinery, robotics, production lines and industrial automation. Its construction allows for free routing in cable ducts, even over long distances and at high speeds.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of tinned copper strands, twisted together and insulated with special PP. The strands are marked with numbers for easy identification. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of TPE-O (thermoplastic elastomer), which provides resistance to oils, chemicals, UV radiation and ozone. Additionally, the cable is characterized by high tear and abrasion resistance. Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable is environmentally friendly and minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. The outer diameter of the cable is 7.2 mm.

This cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The rated voltage U is 500V and the permissible operating temperature is from -30°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +80°C (stationary). The strand cross-section is 1.5 mm².
