Flexible control cable UNIPUR – reliability in harsh conditions

The UNIPUR 4G2.5 cable is a flexible solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. This cable, made with polyurethane (PUR) insulation, is perfect for industrial, construction, and mobile device environments. Its construction ensures reliable operation even in extreme temperatures and with frequent bending.

Construction and properties

The UNIPUR cable stands out with its solid construction. It consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², twisted to ensure maximum flexibility. The conductors are surrounded by thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) insulation, and the whole is protected by a durable polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket. This makes the cable resistant to abrasion, cuts, notches, oils, greases, water, and weathering. Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone, cadmium, and paint-inhibiting substance-free.

The cable remains flexible even at low temperatures – down to -40°C – making it ideal for outdoor and cold room applications. The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V (up to 1 mm²) or 750/450 V (from 1.5 mm²), and the test voltage is 3000 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.8 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 5x for stationary bending.
