Flexible control cable UNIPUR-CP 18G1.5 – reliability in harsh conditions

The UNIPUR-CP cable is distinguished by its exceptional flexibility, resistance to external factors and durability.

Construction and properties

The UNIPUR-CP 18G1.5 cable is characterized by a solid construction. It uses 18 copper strands, twisted into a rope in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl.5, BS 6360 cl.5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards. Each strand is insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which provides excellent dielectric properties and mechanical strength. The strands are twisted in parallel, which minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference. A screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) effectively protects against external interference, and the outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, water and climate change. Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties even in extreme temperature conditions – from -40°C to +90°C during operation.

Applications and parameters

The UNIPUR-CP 18G1.5 cable with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² and a rated voltage of up to 750V is used in many fields: power tools (drills, saws), agricultural and construction machinery, refrigeration installations and wherever high flexibility and resistance to external factors are required. Thanks to its properties, it is also perfect for mobile and portable electrical devices. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 19.6 mm, which makes it easier to select appropriate mounting accessories.

The cable is available in violet (RAL 4005), but other colors from the RAL palette are available on request – from blue (RAL 5015) to gray (RAL 7001/7032). Versions with a green-yellow protective conductor (G) or without it (x) are also available.
