Flexible control cable UNIPUR-CP – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded flexible cable UNIPUR-CP 3G16 is a solution designed for demanding applications where durability, flexibility and resistance to external factors are important. This cable is perfect for both industrial installations and mobile applications, providing safe and reliable power transmission. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long-term operation even in extreme conditions.
Construction and properties
The UNIPUR-CP cable stands out with its advanced construction, which combines a number of features ensuring its exceptional functionality. Stranded copper conductors, made in class 5 (flexible multi-wire), are insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which provides them with excellent flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. A screen made of tinned copper wires minimizes electromagnetic interference, and the outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) protects the cable against the influence of oils, greases, water, ozone, UV radiation and microbes. Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties even in a very aggressive environment.
Additionally, the cable is metered and available in blue color, which facilitates identification and organization of installations. The exceptional flexibility of the cable at low temperatures (down to -40°C) makes it ideal for outdoor applications in difficult climatic conditions. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
Applications and benefits
The UNIPUR-CP 3G16 cable finds wide application in many industries:
- Electric tools: drills, circular saws and other portable devices requiring a flexible and durable power cord.
- Agricultural machinery: portable engines and other devices used in agriculture, exposed to difficult working conditions.
- Construction: powering devices on construction sites, where resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors is required.
- Refrigeration installations: electrical connections in refrigeration systems exposed to moisture and low temperatures.
- Hobby and DIY: everywhere where a flexible cable with high resistance to damage is needed.
It is worth remembering the manufacturer's recommendation regarding the optimization of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) by ensuring bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals – e.g. using appropriate cable glands. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
