The construction made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage, and the braided shield minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable signal transmission. The cable is particularly recommended where flexibility and the absence of tensile stress are important.
Construction and properties
The F-CY-OZ cable stands out with its careful construction, which translates into its unique properties. Made of 18 copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², insulated with special PVC, it provides effective current conduction. The conductors are twisted in parallel and numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334, which facilitates identification and connection. Additionally, the insulating foil reduces the outer diameter of the cable, and the dense copper braid effectively eliminates electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid, in order to optimize electromagnetic compatibility, should have bilateral contact with the terminals (e.g., cable glands).
The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -10°C to +80°C during flexible operation. It is resistant to oils and many chemical compounds. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free. The fire reaction class is Eca, which provides additional safety.
