Cable for hazardous areas – safety and flexibility in one

This blue OZ-BL 4x1 mm² cable is a flexible solution designed for installation in areas with explosion hazards, where high resistance and reliability are required. Made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51, which guarantees its safety and compliance with applicable regulations. This cable is used in intrinsically safe systems where minimizing the risk of ignition is crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that provides flexibility and durability. It has four flexible class 5 stranded copper conductors, insulated with PVC type Z 7225. The conductors are marked with black numbers, which facilitates identification during installation. Twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, and the whole is surrounded by a blue PVC coating (RAL 5015) providing additional protection against external factors. The rated voltage is 300/500V, and the permissible operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible). The cable is resistant to UV radiation and most oils and chemicals.

Applications and benefits

The OZ-BL cable is ideal for use in explosion-prone areas where flexible control and measurement connections are required. It will work in measurement and control technology in intrinsically safe systems that are not grounded and have a separate power supply circuit. Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable ensures safe and reliable operation of devices in harsh industrial conditions. However, it is important to remember that it is not suitable for direct burial in the ground. The CE mark confirms the product's compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Its outer diameter is approximately 6.6 mm, which facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
