This blue OZ-BL-CY 2x1.5 mm² cable is a flexible solution designed for use in areas at risk of explosion. It is designed for intrinsically safe installations, offering effective protection and reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions. The cable is particularly useful in control and measurement technology, where high resistance to interference and operational safety are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term operation. Made of high-quality materials, it meets strict safety standards. Multi-strand flexible copper conductors class 5 guarantee good flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Conductor insulation made of PVC type Z 7225 provides effective electrical protection. In addition, a screen made of tinned copper wire braid minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in precise control and measurement systems. The outer sheath made of PVC (type TM2) in blue (RAL 5015) provides resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation.

The cable has a rated voltage of 300/500V and an allowable operating temperature from -40°C to +80°C (flexible from -10°C to +80°C). It complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14 standards, which confirms its safety and suitability in explosion-hazardous areas. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.1 mm, and its weight is 0.088 kg/m. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 5x the diameter for fixed installation.

The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances preventing paint adhesion – which is important for subsequent service work or installation modifications.
