Shielded control cable for data and control signal transmission

This flexible PVC cable, shielded with a copper braid, is designed for use in measurement, control, signalling and regulation technology. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electronics where protection against electromagnetic interference is required. The construction with twisted pairs of wires ensures stable transmission of pulse data.

The PAAR-CY-OZ 2x2x1 mm² cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors. It complies with DIN VDE 0812 and 0814 standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. The use of a copper braid screen minimizes the impact of external interference on the transmitted signals, which is crucial in environments with high interference levels.

#### Construction and properties

The cable consists of four wires (two pairs), made of stranded copper twisted (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295). Each wire is insulated with special PVC (TI2), then twisted in pairs. These pairs are wrapped in foil and shielded with a copper wire braid (coverage approx. 85%). The whole is surrounded by an outer sheath of special PVC (TM2) in grey (RAL 7032). The wires are numbered with white digits for easy identification.

* **Shielding:** Copper braid provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). For optimal protection, ensure good contact of the braid with the terminals, e.g. by using cable glands.

* **Flexibility:** The construction with stranded wires provides high flexibility, making it easier to install and route the cable in tight spaces.

* **Resistance:** The cable is resistant to oils and chemicals and does not contain silicone or cadmium.

* **Temperature range:** The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range: from -30°C to +80°C during operation and from -5°C to +80°C during installation.

* **Safety:** The materials used in production are self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, meeting the VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 standard.

#### Operating parameters

The PAAR-CY-OZ cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 300/500 V and a test voltage of wire/wire 1200 V, wire/screen 800 V. The insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and the operating capacitance wire/wire approx. 150 nF/km and wire/screen approx. 270 nF/km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5 x cable diameter during fixed installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.5 mm.
