Specialized cable for inverters – reliability and electromagnetic compatibility

This specialized connection cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-UV-2YSLCYK-J, is designed to work with frequency inverters. It provides flexible connections in installations where there are medium mechanical loads, without the risk of tensile stress. This cable is ideal for both indoor (dry, humid and wet) and outdoor applications.

This cable finds application in many industries – mechanical, metallurgical, food, packaging, as well as in automation and environmental technology. It will work in control, signaling and measurement systems, especially in conveyors and technological lines. It is a dedicated solution for SIMOVERT drives, pumps, ventilation, conveyor belts and air conditioning installations.

Construction and properties

The cable is distinguished by an advanced construction ensuring high quality and reliability. It uses multi-wire copper conductors (class 5) with polyethylene (PE) insulation, which translates to flexibility and durability. The conductors are twisted concentrically for better stability. Two screens – aluminum foil and copper braid – minimize electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial when working with frequency inverters. A special PVC mixture used for the outer jacket guarantees resistance to weather conditions and ease of installation.

Thanks to the low capacitance between conductors and to the screen, the cable minimizes energy losses. Additionally, it is resistant to UV radiation, which allows its use in outdoor installations. The cable meets the requirements of standards regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in buildings and installations – this guarantees the safe operation of devices sensitive to interference.
