Power cable for inverters – reliability and electromagnetic compatibility
This specialized TOPFLEX®-EMV-UV-2YSLCYK-J cable is designed for efficient and safe power supply to motors using frequency inverters. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal solution for both installers and end users. Its construction minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable device operation.
Construction and application
This cable is particularly recommended for use in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, food processing, packaging, automation, and control and measurement systems. It will work well in conveyor systems and technological lines. Thanks to a special PVC compound, the outer jacket guarantees excellent flexibility, making quick installation easier even in difficult conditions. The cable is intended for laying in dry, humid and wet rooms, as well as outdoors. It is used with SIMOVERT drives, pumps, ventilation, conveyor belts and air conditioning installations.
The use of PE (polyethylene) insulation for the cores significantly reduces dielectric losses compared to traditional PVC cables, which translates into higher energy efficiency and longer system life. Two screens – foil and copper braid – provide effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial for the correct operation of frequency inverters.

Remember to properly connect the screen on both sides of the cable and ensure its connection around the entire circuit in accordance with EN 55011 standard to fully utilize the shielding properties of this cable!
