Flexible cable for industrial and control applications
This flexible cable (H)05VV5-F 5G4, also designated as ((N)YSLYÖ-JZ), is designed to operate in demanding conditions where oil resistance and flexibility are essential. This cable is used in a variety of installations, both indoors and in industry. Its construction ensures reliable connections in machines, conveyors and process lines.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on five copper conductors with a cross-section of 4 mm². These conductors are made of stranded, twisted copper, providing high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. The conductor insulation is made of high-quality PVC (TI2), and the outer jacket is also made of PVC (TM5), guaranteeing protection against external factors. The conductors are numbered for easy identification during installation. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (PE) to ensure safe use. The whole meets the standard DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and IEC 60227/75.
This cable also stands out for its high chemical resistance, including resistance to oils – a feature particularly important in industrial environments such as breweries, bottling plants or car washes. It is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad). The cable is metered for convenient dispensing of the required length.
Parameters and application
The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 300/500 V and a test voltage of 2000 V for 5 minutes. The permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 13.9 mm. The fire reaction class is Eca according to EN 13501-6.
This cable is ideal for applications requiring flexibility and oil resistance – both as a control cable and a connecting cable in machines and industrial equipment. Its construction allows it to be used in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors).
