Control cable H05VV5-F is a flexible solution for connections in demanding conditions. Made of PVC, this 14-core cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is perfect for applications where resistance to oils and mechanical factors is important. Its grey jacket and black, numbered cores facilitate identification and installation.

Characteristics and application

This cable is designed for medium mechanical stress, providing flexibility without the risk of damage caused by stretching. Compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and IEC 60227/75 standards, it guarantees safety and reliability. It is ideally suited for indoor use – dry, humid and wet – although it is not intended for outdoor installation. Its resistance to various chemical compounds makes it particularly useful in the food industry (breweries, bottling plants), laundries and car washes. It can also be used in machines, conveyors and technological lines as a control and connecting cable.

Construction and properties

The cable construction is based on stranded copper conductors, insulated with special PVC TI2. The cores are black with white numbered printing for easy identification (according to DIN VDE 0293). The protective conductor (in versions with it) is yellow-green. The whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of oil-resistant PVC TM5, which provides additional protection against mechanical and chemical damage. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 300/500V and an allowable operating temperature of -40°C to +70°C (flexible) or -5°C to +70°C (during installation). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 19.4 mm. The fire reaction class is Eca, which means limited flammability.

It is also worth mentioning the high insulation resistance (min. 20 MOhm x km) and the test voltage of 2kV for 5 minutes, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.
