PTFE HELUFLON-5Y Cable – Reliability in Extreme Conditions
This high-quality HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is an ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. Construction and Properties
The cable features a silver-plated copper conductor, ensuring good conductivity, and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation – a material with exceptional dielectric and thermal properties. PTFE meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878. This makes the cable flame-retardant, resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Additionally, it is fungus and mildew resistant, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal, ensuring stable parameters in a humid environment.
This cable also stands out for its low electrical losses and high insulation resistance. The materials used in production are free from silicone, cadmium, and substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, and IEC 60332-1.
Technical Parameters and Application
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable with a conductor cross-section of 0.9 mm² and an outer diameter of approximately 1.94 mm is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 600 V (type E) or 1000 V (type EE). The operating temperature range is from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km. The cable is also radiation resistant up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
Available in various colors: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7), and others on request. The conductor can be bare, tinned, or nickel-plated upon request.
