Halogen-free cable for inverters TOPFLEX®-06-EMV-UV-3-PLUS-2XSLCHK-J 3x16+3G2,5 mm² black, color-coded conductors acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 18052047
Halogen-free cable for inverters – reliability and installation safety
This halogen-free TOPFLEX®-06-EMV-UV-3-PLUS-2XSLCHK-J cable is an ideal solution for powering motors with frequency inverters, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in demanding industrial environments and buildings. The cable design minimizes electromagnetic interference, which could negatively affect the operation of surrounding devices. This is particularly important in automation systems, public buildings, and anywhere high operational reliability is required.
### Construction and application – tailored to the installer's needs
The cable is designed for a wide range of applications. It uses multi-wire copper conductors class 5, which provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation allows operation at temperatures up to 90°C, increasing the current carrying capacity compared to traditional PE insulation. Two screens – AL/PET foil and copper wire braid – effectively suppress electromagnetic interference. The outer jacket made of a halogen-free material ensures safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the emission of toxic gases.
This cable finds application in the automotive, food, environmental technology, packaging industry and machine tools. It can be used in both internal and external installations, as well as directly in the ground (observing appropriate installation principles). It is designed for operation under medium mechanical loads in dry, damp or wet rooms.
### Safety and compliance with standards – peace of mind
Safety is a priority. The cable meets the requirements of IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2 standards regarding halogen-free materials and IEC 60332-1-2 standards regarding fire resistance. The reaction to fire class is Dca, s2, d1, a1 according to EN 13501-6. Additionally, it has resistance to UV radiation and weathering conditions, making it ideal for outdoor applications. The use of a yellow-green protective conductor provides additional safety.
* **Halogen-free:** Minimizes the emission of toxic gases during a fire, protecting the health and lives of users.
* **Fire resistance:** Provides a delay in the spread of fire in the event of a fire.
* **EMC shielding:** Effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable device operation.
* **Flexibility:** Facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces thanks to the construction of multi-wire conductors class 5.
* **Resistance to external conditions:** Enables the use of the cable in harsh environmental conditions thanks to resistance to UV radiation and weathering.
Remember the all-round, circumferential contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. EMC cable glands) for optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
