• Reliability and safety in power supply systems for inverters – this halogen-free cable, designated TOPFLEX®-06-EMV-UV-3-PLUS-2XSLCHK-J, is designed for demanding applications related to powering motors with inverters. It meets the requirements of IEC 60502-1 and ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in systems, buildings and facilities sensitive to interference. The cable's construction, with double shielding (AL/PET foil and copper braid), minimizes interference emissions, which is crucial for the proper operation of electronic devices.

Construction and properties – durability and flexibility

• The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term and reliable operation. Multi-wire copper conductors, class 5 (according to IEC 60228), guarantee flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Insulation made of XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) allows operation at higher temperatures – up to +90°C – compared to traditional PE insulation, which increases the current carrying capacity. Additionally, the use of an outer jacket made of halogen-free material increases fire safety. The symmetrical 3-PLUS construction (protective conductor divided into three) improves EMC properties compared to traditional 4-core cables.

Applications and parameters – versatility and compliance with standards

• The cable finds application in the automotive, food, environmental technology, packaging industry and machine tool industries. It is intended for internal and external installations, as well as for direct burial in the ground (observing appropriate installation rules). It meets the requirements of standards regarding fire resistance (IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24), low flammability (EN 13501-6: Dca, s2, d1, a1) and the absence of toxic gas emissions during combustion (IEC 60754-1 and IEC 60754-2). The rated operating voltage is U0/U 0.6/1 kV, and the conductor cross-section is 70 mm². The cable is resistant to UV radiation and weathering. For optimal electromagnetic compatibility, it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with EMC cable glands. The minimum bending radius for flexible installations is 672 mm and for fixed installations 336 mm.
