HELUKAT 100 FTP FLEX cable is a high-quality network cable designed for use in computer networks where protection against electromagnetic interference is required. The construction with shielding foil (FTP – Foiled Twisted Pair) minimizes the impact of external interference sources, ensuring stable data transmission. This cable is particularly recommended for environments with high levels of interference, such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial buildings.
The cable features a flexible design, making it easy to route even in tight spaces and during installation in hard-to-reach areas. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper conductors, insulated with polyethylene foam, ensure good conductivity and minimize signal loss.
Construction and properties
The cable construction is based on four twisted pairs (4x2), each with a cross-section of 0.14 mm². The twisted pair reduces interference, and the additional shielding foil protects the entire cable from external electromagnetic fields. The outer jacket made of FRNC (Flame Retardant Non-Corrosive) provides fire resistance and prevents the release of toxic gases during combustion – important for installation safety. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.3 mm, making it easy to install with standard RJ45 connectors.
The cable meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173, and EIA/TIA 568-A standards, confirming its quality and compliance with applicable standards. Additionally, it has flame-retardant properties (IEC 60332-1-2), low smoke density (IEC 61034), and is halogen-free (IEC 60754-1), increasing safety. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -20°C to +60°C, both during operation and installation (0-50°C).
