High temperature resistant silicone cable H05SS-F 4G1.5 mm² black, conductor identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 22300
Flexible cable H05SS-F – resistance to extreme temperatures
This black, multi-strand H05SS-F cable is a reliable solution for applications requiring high thermal resistance. The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +250°C), making it an ideal choice for harsh industrial conditions and specialized installations. Made of tinned copper, with crosslinked rubber insulation, it provides stable and safe operation in demanding environments.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on multi-wire copper conductors (class 5) twisted in a way that ensures flexibility. The insulation made of crosslinked rubber (SiR) EI2 guarantees high temperature and chemical resistance. The outer jacket made of crosslinked rubber EM9 further protects the cable against mechanical damage and environmental influences. This ensures that the cable retains its dielectric properties and insulation resistance even in extreme conditions.
- Wide temperature range: Operation from -60°C to +180°C (short-term +250°C) – ideal for use in high-temperature devices and installations.
- Flexible construction: Multi-wire conductors provide easy installation and adaptation to different configurations.
- Radiation resistance: Up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg (20 Mrad) – enables use in environments exposed to radiation.
- Safety: Complies with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
- Protective conductor: Option available with a yellow-green protective conductor (marked "G").
Applications and installation
The H05SS-F cable is primarily used for internal wiring of lighting fixtures in industrial plants, where elevated temperatures occur. It will also be useful in connections of heat-generating devices and in applications requiring flexible energy conduction in difficult conditions. The minimum bending radius is 7.5x the cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x the cable diameter for fixed laying. It is important to exercise caution during installation in places exposed to sharp edges to avoid damage to the outer jacket. The conductor cross-section is 1.5 mm², and the rated voltage U is 500 V.
