High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in extreme conditions

This 7-core HELUTHERM SiHF cable with a cross-section of 10 mm² is an advanced solution for applications requiring high thermal resistance and flexibility. The cable is designed to operate in extreme temperatures, both low and high, making it an ideal choice for a variety of industrial applications. Its construction and materials ensure reliable operation even in the most demanding environments.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a stranded wire construction, which provides high flexibility and facilitates installation. The copper cores, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, are insulated with special silicone, which guarantees resistance to temperatures up to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) and low temperatures down to -60°C. The outer jacket made of silicone in brick color further protects the cable from external factors. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety and minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire – it meets IEC 60332-1-2 and VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-2 / IEC 60754-2 standards.

Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, acids, alkalis and atmospheric conditions – which expands the scope of its application. The cores are identified with colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308, and the protective core is yellow-green (from 3 cores).
