Flexible cable H05SST-F – high temperature resistance and reliability
This flexible H05SST-F cable is the ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures, reaching up to 180°C. The cable is designed for industrial installations, lighting fixture wiring and anywhere standard cables fail. The cross-linked rubber insulation provides long-lasting and safe operation, even in harsh conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is distinguished by a solid construction that guarantees reliability and durability. It consists of stranded copper conductors, insulated with cross-linked rubber (SiR) EI2. The conductors are twisted in parallel and protected by an outer jacket of cross-linked rubber EM9 in black (RAL 9005). Additionally, the cable has a polyester braid, which increases its mechanical strength. It is worth noting the resistance to radiation up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 20 Mrad), which makes it suitable for use in specific environments.
- Thermal resistance: Continuous operation up to 180°C (short-term up to 250°C) – ideal for use near heat sources.
- Flexibility: Stranded conductor construction ensures easy installation and adaptation to various installation layouts.
- Durability: Polyester braid protects against mechanical damage and increases the cable's lifespan.
- Safety: Compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) guarantees safe use.
- Resistance: Minimum resistance of 200 MOhm x km ensures stable electrical parameters.
Applications and installation
The H05SST-F cable finds wide application in industry, especially in the internal wiring of lighting fixtures and in places exposed to high temperatures. It will also be useful in installations requiring radiation resistance. During installation, special care should be taken in places with sharp edges to avoid damage to the cable jacket. The minimum bending radius is 7.5x cable diameter for flexible laying and 4x cable diameter for fixed laying. Thanks to the yellow-green protective conductor (in the version with a protective conductor), the cable provides additional safety.
