Flexible cable H05SST-F – resistant to high temperatures and harsh conditions
This black, multi-core H05SST-F cable is a reliable solution for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures. Designed to operate in the range of -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +250°C), it is ideal for industrial installations, lighting fixtures and anywhere standard cables fail. The construction with cross-linked rubber provides flexibility and durability, and the polyester braid provides additional protection against mechanical damage.
Construction and properties
This cable is distinguished by a careful construction that guarantees safety and long-term operation. It consists of:
- Copper conductors: Tinned, stranded (class 5), providing good conductivity and flexibility.
- Core insulation: Made of cross-linked rubber (SiR) EI2, resistant to high temperatures and aging.
- Polyester braid: Provides additional mechanical protection and increases the cable's strength.
- Outer jacket: Made of cross-linked rubber EM9, resistant to abrasion, oils and chemicals. Black color (RAL 9005), also available in other colors on request.
Thanks to this, the cable retains its dielectric properties and insulation resistance even in extreme thermal conditions. It is also resistant to radiation up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 20 Mrad).
Application and compliance with standards
The H05SST-F cable is primarily used in:
- Internal wiring of lighting fixtures: Especially in industrial plants where elevated temperatures occur.
- Fixed installations: Protected from mechanical damage.
- Applications requiring high thermal resistance: Contact with hot surfaces, industrial furnaces, etc.
- Heavy industry: Where standard cables do not meet the requirements for temperature and durability.
The cable meets the requirements of standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-83 / DIN EN 50525-2-83 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the conductor cross-section is 6 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.1 mm. Remember to exercise caution during installation in places exposed to sharp edges!
