Cat 6A LAN Cable – Reliable Data Transmission
This F/FTP Cat 6A LAN cable is a solid solution for building networks requiring high bandwidth. Designed for data transmission at frequencies up to 500 MHz, it is suitable for both new generation installations and modernized networks. Its construction with aluminum foil (F/FTP) provides effective shielding against electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable and reliable data transmission.
Construction and properties
The cable features a 4x2xAWG23/1 construction, meaning four twisted pairs of copper wires with solid-core conductors. The wire insulation is made of skin-foam-skin PE, and the entire cable is surrounded by a halogen-free FRNC jacket – this is important from a fire safety point of view. Additionally, the presence of shielding on the pairs and overall shielding increases resistance to interference. Grounding wires provide additional safety and signal stability.
The cable has a fire reaction class of B2ca according to EN 50575 (CPR), which means limited flammability and smoke emission in the event of a fire. It also meets a number of other standards, such as EN 50288-5-1, EN 50288-10-1, EN 50173, EN 50174-2, ISO/IEC 11801 (edition 2) and IEC 61156-5 and TIA/EIA-568-B.2-10. This ensures that the cable meets all required quality and safety standards.
F/FTP shielding provides protection against electromagnetic interference for stable data transmission. The jacket made of FRNC (halogen-free plastic) increases fire safety – no toxic gases are released during combustion. Cat 6A enables support for high data transmission speeds up to 500 MHz. Copper conductors guarantee good conductivity and connection reliability. CPR class B2ca ensures compliance with fire reaction requirements in buildings. The outer diameter of approximately 7.6 mm facilitates installation and cable routing in installations.
The cable is available in orange (RAL 2003), which makes it easier to identify in the installation. The maximum bending radius during flexible mounting is 8x the cable diameter and 4x the cable diameter for permanent laying.
