Highly durable control cable for extreme applications. This specialized PUR cable, designated MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 3G2.5 mm², is a reliable solution for working in demanding conditions. The cable is designed for industrial applications, robotics and moving parts of machines, where it is exposed to intense bending and potential electromagnetic interference. Its construction ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in harsh environments.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with multi-wire copper conductors class 6, which provides high resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The core insulation is made of modified PP, and the cores are numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 for easy identification. A copper braid effectively shields against electromagnetic interference, and the outer polyurethane (PUR) coating provides resistance to abrasion, oils and other aggressive chemicals. The whole is enclosed in a gray, matte cover (RAL 7001).

The cable has a cross-section of 2.5 mm² and is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 300/500 V. The permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +80°C during operation and from -30°C to +80°C during installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.6 mm. An important aspect is the absence of halogen in the insulating materials, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
