Robust control cable for extreme applications

This specialized PUR cable, designated MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 4G1 mm², is a reliable solution for operation in harsh industrial environments. This cable is designed for applications requiring high flexibility, resistance to mechanical and chemical factors, and protection against electromagnetic interference. Its use in cable conduits or energy chains is optimal, and its construction ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Construction and application

This cable stands out with a construction adapted to intensive use. The four cores with a cross-section of 1 mm² are made of stranded copper, which provides them with high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of modified PP, and each core is numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 for easy identification. The whole is surrounded by a special protective braid and a screen made of tinned copper wires, minimizing the impact of electromagnetic interference. A durable outer coating made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils and other aggressive chemicals.

The cable is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, robotics, moving parts of machines and anywhere high flexibility and resistance to external factors are required. Thanks to the shielding, it is particularly recommended for use in environments with a high level of electromagnetic interference.

Key features and benefits

  • Exceptional flexibility: Thanks to the multi-wire core construction (class 6), the cable is easy to bend and lay, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
  • Resistance to extreme conditions: A wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +80°C) allows the cable to be used in harsh climatic conditions.
  • Protection against interference: The screen made of tinned copper wires effectively protects against the influence of electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission.
  • Durable construction: The PUR outer coating is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils and other chemicals, guaranteeing long-term operation.
  • Halogen-free: The materials used in production do not contain halogens, which increases safety and minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire (compliance with IEC 60332-1-2).
  • Core identification: Core numbering according to DIN VDE 0293-334 makes identification and connection easier.
  • Rated voltage: The cable is designed to operate at 300/500 V.
  • Approximate outer diameter: 10.8 mm – important information when planning cable routes.
Group advantages:.
Highly flexible, with slip-insulated TPE cores and a cut- and adhesive-resistant PUR outer tire.
