PUR cable for cable conduits MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 7G1.5 mm² grey, black cores numbered acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 22608
Control cable for cable carriers – reliability in harsh conditions
This specialized PUR cable, designated MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR 7G1.5 mm², is a solution designed for demanding industrial applications. This cable stands out for its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for use in energy chains, robotics, and moving parts of machines. The cable's construction ensures reliable signal transmission even in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference.
Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation
The cable is characterized by seven cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², made of stranded copper, which guarantees high flexibility and mechanical strength. The cores are insulated with modified PP (polypropylene), and their identification is done using white digits on a black background – this facilitates correct connection. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective core increases safety. The whole is surrounded by a special shielding braid made of tinned copper wires, which minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference. The outer layer made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils, and aggressive chemicals. This material is also halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (flexibly) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation and stationary operation. It also withstands UV radiation and has high resistance to weathering. The materials used do not contain silicone or cadmium, making it environmentally friendly and safe to use. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter during fixed installation. The cable has passed bending tests confirming resistance to approx. 10 million bending cycles using method H.
Applications and benefits for installers and end users
The MULTIFLEX 512®-C-PUR cable is primarily used in:
- Machine industry: ideal for powering and controlling devices in machines and production lines.
- Robotics: provides reliable connections in robotic applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors.
- Energy chains: performs perfectly in cable management systems exposed to continuous bending and movement.
- Applications requiring EMC shielding: minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
Thanks to its construction, this cable guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in the most demanding industrial conditions. The use of high-quality materials and careful workmanship translate into increased durability and reliability of the electrical installation. For optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to use a double-sided copper braid clamp with cable glands.
