Flexible cable for applications requiring high flexibility

This grey, metered cable m.FLEX 512-PUR 18G0,75 with a voltage of 500V is a solution dedicated to working in harsh conditions, especially where high flexibility and resistance to mechanical loads are required. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation in industrial applications, robotics and moving parts of machines. The cable construction is designed for intensive bending and long-term operation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction based on 18 stranded copper conductors (class 6), which ensures its exceptional flexibility. The conductors are insulated with modified PP, and the whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of halogen-free polyurethane (PUR). This combination of materials guarantees resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils, chemicals and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors), ensuring safe use. A special protective braid on each layer of twisted conductors increases its mechanical strength.

• Exceptional flexibility: thanks to the construction with stranded conductors and the use of a slip-resistant TPE insulation and a cut-resistant and adhesion-resistant PUR outer jacket.

• Mechanical resistance: high resistance to mechanical stress and abrasion.

Applications and compliance with standards

The m.FLEX 512-PUR cable is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, robotics and in moving parts of machines – wherever high flexibility and reliable electrical connections are required. It will also work in installations exposed to contact with oils and chemicals. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-21 / DIN EN 50525-2-21 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The cable has been tested by the H method for approx. 10 million bending cycles, which confirms its high mechanical strength.
