This blue, shielded flexible cable OZ-BL-CY 30x0.75 is designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres where high reliability and interference resistance are required. Made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), this cable is flexible and durable, making it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users.

Construction and properties

This cable stands out with its careful construction, ensuring optimal performance parameters. It has 30 multi-strand flexible copper conductors class 5, insulated with PVC type Z 7225. The conductors are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, minimizing the risk of mechanical damage. Additionally, the cable has a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires with a coverage density of approx. 85%, which effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer sheath made of PVC (type TM2) provides resistance to weathering and UV radiation.

The cable meets the Eca standard in terms of reaction to fire (EN 13501-6), which increases safety. The cable is metered for easy installation and adaptation to specific needs. The nominal conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V. The permissible operating temperature of the cable is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible).

It is ideal as a flexible control and measuring cable in control and measurement technology, especially in intrinsically safe systems (type -i-) according to DIN VDE 0165-1 / DIN EN 60079-14 / IEC 60079-14. It is not suitable for laying in the ground.
