This shielded PVC cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is designed for use in measurement, control, signal, regulation technology and electronics. It is suitable for both industrial installations and data pulse transmission systems. The cable's construction minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in environments with high noise levels.

Construction and properties

The PAAR-CY-OZ cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring reliable operation and long service life. It consists of:

• Copper conductors: Multi-stranded, flexible (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), which facilitates installation and ensures resistance to material fatigue. The conductors are black with white numbers – identification according to DIN VDE 0293-334.
• PVC insulation: Made of special PVC TI2, providing good dielectric properties and abrasion resistance.
• Twisted pairs: Twisted conductors minimize mutual interaction and reduce interference.
• Screen: Braid of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) effectively protects against external electromagnetic fields. Ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
• Outer PVC jacket: Made of special PVC TM2, resistant to oils and chemicals. Grey color (RAL 7032).

The cable complies with DIN VDE 0812 and 0814 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting.

Operating parameters and safety

The PAAR-CY-OZ cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -30°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -5°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the conductor/conductor test voltage is 1200 V. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, guaranteeing safe use. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5x cable diameter for fixed installation. The cable is resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad).
