Shielded control cable RE-2Y(ST)YV – reliable data transmission

This flexible RE-2Y(ST)YV cable is designed for data transmission in control systems, automation and transmission of digital and analog signals. The construction with a foil screen provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable device operation. This cable is suitable for both fixed installations and applications requiring frequent bending.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for long-term and trouble-free operation. Multi-strand copper conductors, class 2, provide flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Polyethylene (PE) insulation minimizes the capacitance of vapor paths, resulting in high binary signal throughput. Twisted pairs of wires reduce mutual interference, and an additional electrostatic screen made of metal foil protects against the influence of external electromagnetic fields. A drain wire facilitates installation and provides safe grounding. The outer sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.

This cable complies with the CE standard, confirming its safety and quality of workmanship. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not interfere with painting. The PVC coating is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, increasing safety of use.

The minimum bending radius of 7.5 x cable diameter facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The nominal conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm² allows for transmitting signals with sufficient power without the risk of overheating the wires. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 27.7 mm with 96 cores.
