Shielded control cable – reliable signal transmission

This flexible PA.TR.-LI-2YCYv cable is an ideal solution for transmitting control signals in places exposed to electromagnetic interference. The construction with twisted pairs, foil and copper braid provides effective protection against external noise, guaranteeing stable and reliable data transmission. The cable is particularly recommended for RS 422 and RS 485 interfaces, where high signal quality is crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, designed for durability and ease of installation. Made of multi-wire copper conductors (class 2), insulated with special polyethylene PE, it provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Twisted pairs minimize the impact of electromagnetic interference, and double shielding (foil and braid) further increases resistance to noise. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides protection against external factors and facilitates cable routing.

Applications and characteristics

The PA.TR.-LI-2YCYv 10x2x0.5 cable has 20 conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², allowing for the transmission of a large number of control signals. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 16 mm. The cable is designed to operate at a maximum voltage of 250V and is perfect for stationary and mobile installations with medium mechanical load. Thanks to its properties, this cable finds application in industrial automation, building management systems and everywhere where reliable transmission of control signals in an electromagnetically disturbed environment is required. The minimum bending radius during laying is 7.5 x cable diameter for fixed installations and 12 x cable diameter for flexible installations.
