Shielded control cable – reliable data transmission

This flexible PA.TR.-LI-2YCYv cable is the optimal solution for transmitting control signals in areas exposed to electromagnetic interference. The construction with a shielded pair ensures high resistance to interference, guaranteeing stable and reliable data transmission over significant distances. The cable is particularly recommended for RS 422 and RS 485 interfaces, where high speed and signal quality are crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, designed for durability and ease of installation. Made of high-quality materials, such as twisted copper conductors, polyethylene insulation, and an outer jacket made of PVC, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The cable shielding consists of a foil and a copper braid, which effectively minimizes the impact of external disturbances. Thanks to this, the cable works perfectly in demanding industrial environments and automation installations.

• Conductors: 16 conductors (8 pairs), each with a cross-section of 0.22 mm², made of copper twisted into a 7-strand structure for increased flexibility and resistance to material fatigue.
• Shielding: Double-layer – foil and copper braid, providing effective protection against electromagnetic interference.
• Insulation: Special polyethylene (PE) with dielectric properties ensuring low capacitance and minimal signal loss.
• Outer jacket: Durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) providing resistance to abrasion, chemicals and weather conditions.
• Temperature range: Operation in temperatures from -30°C to +80°C (after installation) and from -5°C to +70°C during installation.
• Outer diameter: Approximately 10.6 mm – compact size making it easy to route cables in tight spaces.

The cable meets CE safety standards and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances harmful to the environment. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.
