Flexible PUR cable for harsh environments
This multi-core flexible cable, identified as HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-PUR UL/CSA, is designed to operate in demanding industrial environments and beyond. It features high mechanical and chemical resistance, making it an ideal solution for use in energy chains, robotics, and the oil and gas sector. The cable's construction ensures reliable operation even with intense bending and movement.
Construction and properties
The cable has 18 copper, stranded conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with special PP. The conductors are twisted in layers, and the whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) jacket. The use of PUR provides resistance to abrasion, cuts, tearing, and the action of oils, chemicals and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire. The rated voltage of the cable is 600 V, and the permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +90°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.5 mm.
