Flexible cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions
This high-quality flexible cable, catalog number 21601, is designed for use in demanding industrial environments, particularly in chain guide systems. The HELUKABEL MULTIFLEX 512-PUR UL/CSA cable is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to external factors and ensures reliable operation even with intense bending and movement. It is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for durable and safe cabling.
Construction and properties
The cable has 18 multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which ensures good flexibility and conductivity. The conductors are insulated with special PP, and their black color with white numbers makes identification easier. The whole is surrounded by a durable, halogen-free polyurethane (PUR) coating, which is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, cuts, tearing, and the action of oils, chemicals, and UV radiation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 16.3 mm. This makes the cable not only durable but also safe to use – the absence of halogen in the coating minimizes the risk of toxic gases forming in the event of a fire.
Applications and certificates
This cable is widely used in the machine industry, robotics, and the oil and gas sector. It will be perfect as a control cable and for instrumentation on drilling platforms, ships, and in chemical plants. It has numerous certificates confirming its compliance with UL/CSA and DNV GL standards, which guarantees its safety and reliability. Designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (during installation) and from -30°C to +90°C (in motion), it is ready to work in the most difficult conditions. Additionally, the cable is resistant to drilling fluids according to NEK TS 606 standard, making it an ideal choice for specific offshore applications.
