PUR cable for cable carriers acc. to UL/CSA HELUCHAIN® MULTIFLEX 512®-PUR UL/CSA 2x0.5 mm² grey, black cores numbered acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 21559
Flexible cable for energy chains – reliability in motion
This grey, two-core flexible cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is designed for applications in continuous motion, such as cable carrier systems (energy chains) in machines and equipment. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its safety and high quality. Made of halogen-free polyurethane (PUR), it provides resistance to mechanical and chemical factors, and also minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor of class 6, providing high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The core insulation is made of special polypropylene (PP), and the cores are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch. In addition, the cable has a special braided wrap (up to a cross-section of 4 mm²), which increases its mechanical strength. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, cuts, tearing, and the action of oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The use of halogen-free materials increases safety in enclosed spaces.
Applications and benefits
This cable is ideal for industrial applications where high reliability and durability are required in continuous motion conditions. It will be useful in robotics, machine and tool manufacturing, and other applications requiring flexible electrical connections. Thanks to its resistance to drilling fluids, it is also suitable for the oil and gas sector – on drilling platforms or in chemical plants. Its construction ensures a long service life even with intensive use, which translates into lower operating costs and downtime. The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (during installation) and from -30°C to +90°C (in motion). The minimum bending radius is 5x the outer diameter for flexible operation and 3x the outer diameter for fixed laying.
