Highly durable flexible cable for industrial applications and in chain guides. This grey flexible cable from HELUKABEL, MULTIFLEX 512-PUR series, with an outer diameter of approximately 8 mm, is designed for demanding applications in industry, robotics and cable carrier systems. It meets UL/CSA standards, confirming its high quality and safety. This cable is particularly recommended where high flexibility, abrasion resistance and resistance to external factors are required.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of four multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², insulated with special PP. The conductors are twisted in layers, which ensures optimal flexibility and minimizes the risk of damage during bending. A protective conductor (available in a green-yellow version or without) provides additional safety. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) coating, which is characterized by high resistance to oils, UV radiation, ozone and other aggressive chemicals. The coating material is also halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

This cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C during stationary operation and from -30°C to +90°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage is 600 V, and the test voltage is 3000 V. The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 3x the cable diameter for fixed installation.
