Chain guide cables for industrial applications

This special PUR cable is designed for cable carriers, offering reliable performance in demanding industrial environments. It meets UL/CSA standards and is characterized by high flexibility, abrasion resistance, and resistance to external factors. The cable is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of a multi-strand copper conductor (class 6), insulated with special PP. The conductors are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, and from 4 mm² do not have a braid. The outer jacket is made of TMPU polyurethane, providing high resistance to mechanical damage, oils, UV radiation, and other aggressive substances. This makes the cable perfect for harsh working conditions, both indoors and outdoors.

The cable is available in a version with a protective conductor (G) or without it (x). The jacket color is gray (RAL 7001), and the conductors are insulated with black PP with white number printing for easy identification. The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 3x for fixed installation. The cable has been tested for flame resistance (UL VW-1, CSA FT1) and oils (DIN VDE 0473-811-404).

Applications and benefits

The cable is ideal for use in machine and tool manufacturing, robotics, and other constantly moving parts of machines. It will also work in the oil and gas sector – as a control cable and for instrumentation on drilling platforms and ships. Its resistance to drilling fluids (NEK TS 606) makes it an excellent choice for high-performance applications such as pumping stations or compressors.
